The book,
12 Steps to a Compassionate Life by author Karen Armstrong, is a book that all of us should experience!
Ms. Armstrong's background includes experience as a Roman Catholic nun, a non-believer, a sort of theist and now she is an ambassador for all that is the best in the great religions of the world!
In her book she cites works of literature, great world leaders and more with the thought that "far more important (than anything) is that we are a good human being."
Please join us for a series of discussions of this insightful book! We will consider four chapters with each session. Today we'll look at
chapters five to eight. Please call to register! Light refreshments will be served. If the weather permits, we'll meet outside in the north garden area. It it rains, or is too uncomfortable, we'll meet in the Babbitt Room.
Of course, you'll want a copy of the book, so ask at the circulation desk. We hope to see you there! Take a look at the review in the
Christian Science Monitor here.
