Boy's League teams have been popular in Euclid for many decades. This year marks their 60th anniversary!
Tonight we host Bruce Walther, author of
Euclid Boy's League All Stars. The book is based on the achievements of a 1979 youth baseball team who finished that August with a 21-game winning streak and 5 tournament championships. Jimmy Carter was President and there was no "Team U.S.A." to boost morale. These fifteen 12-year-olds were able to bring the community together with a surprising variety of heart-stopping games the pros would have been proud to watch! The book will be available for sale at this program.
