Pure water. It has no color, no taste and no smell but it is the most important substance on earth. In fact, it exists in three forms – gas (vapor), liquid (water) and solid (ice/snow/hail). Water covers three fourths of the planet and it’s even in the air that we breathe.
Water is never-ending and recycles itself. Heat from the sun changes water in seas and lakes into water vapor which rises into the air and forms clouds of tiny water droplets. The water droplets grow bigger and heavier and fall to earth as rain, then the cycle begins again.
All living things need water to live. Our bodies are about 67% water and cannot function without water. We need to drink water every day to stay healthy but some people don’t have enough water. Some parts of the world suffer from drought and pollution and everyone, plants, animals and people suffer. We need to be careful and not waste our water.
