2020 Bridge Plan Insert

In the final year of the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan, Euclid Public Library was forced to close its doors to the public on March 13, 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to support the Centers for Disease Control and State of Ohio recommendations to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Staff pivoted to continue to provide programming and support through live-streaming video communications, social media, and online reference applications and tools while the building remained closed to the public. In May 2020, the library reopened to the public for limited lobby services for the remainder of the year. Though the Strategic Planning Team began the research phase of the next Strategic Plan, under the direction of the Board of Trustees, additional planning was suspended to focus on providing staff and the public with the adequate support needed during the pandemic. Until EPL can officially resume the Strategic Planning process, the Library will concentrate on specific areas of focus identified in preliminary research provided by Holy Cow! Consulting and the remaining action steps from the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan. 2021 Euclid Public Library Bridge Plan Additional Teen Services Training for All Staff Transferring to an Online Staff Evaluation Process Provide More Online Services Such as Registration for Library Cards, Programs, and Email Notification for Reserves Strengthen Library Outreach Programs to Those Unable to Physically Come to the Library Improve Publicity Regarding Library Resources, Services and Programs Provide More Programs for Adults Facilities Assessment
