Euclid Public Library celebrates lifelong learning this holiday with The Gift of Stories: Winter Celebrations Around the World. This December, EPL will feature a variety of winter celebrations to delight your eyes and tickle your brain with decorations throughout the library, showcasing how different countries celebrate this season.
Families can discover Christmas traditions adopted from Germany and watch videos about various Christmas celebrations throughout Africa and South America and winter solstice ceremonies worldwide. Notably, EPL has transformed its windows into the library’s first “window menorah” for this year’s Hanukkah celebration.
Every year, Euclid Public Library creates a different ‘Gift of Stories’ display to celebrate holiday stories from family memories, Christmas storybooks, and seasonal stories from classic movies. This is the first time an international theme has been used. The library would like everyone to know that reading and sharing different cultural stories can make the holidays brighter and more colorful. Additionally, adult patrons are encouraged to pre-register for the upcoming Winter Reading Program sponsored by the Friends of the Euclid Public Library, beginning January 18, 2022, to win prizes as they read books.
You can visit The Gift of Stories: Winter Celebrations Around the World the month of December during regular library hours.
